New D.VA animated short will mecha-blow your mind

Gamescom 2018 is running high and today it was Blizzard’s turn to wow the crowds, both at the conference and behind the screens all over the world. And Blizzard delivered! (as they always do)

BEHOLD! The latest video animated short “Shooting Star” about Hana Song mostly known as D.VA, former professional Korean gamer who is now a part of Overwatch defending her hometown Busan from all kinds of enemies. Without further ado, the cinematic, folks:

Man, that’s so cool! Sucks that we can’t boost up infinitely as she does in the video.

Speaking of Busan, the devs also announced a brand-new control map of the same name which also appeared in the cinematic and has its own video showcase.

As Overwatch’s game director, Jeff Kaplan, said the map has three areas and was developed in a close collaboration of the game’s design team and the cinematic team. The map will probably hit live servers soon as it is currently available at PTR.
