The details of the new game from the Pokemon Go creators - the companies Niantic and WB Games San Francisco, appeared today. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite was expected by 2018, but the developers postponed the game release until the current 2019.
You have to play (no, not Harry, although he will also appear in the game) the recruit of the Statue of Secrecy Task Force, formed by the Ministry of Magic order. In general, the whole game is similar to Pokemon Go: you will also have to wander around in search of virtual objects in the real world.
The plot is based on the mysterious phenomenon Calamity, thanks to which magical objects, as well as creatures, people (hello, Harry) and even memories from the world of wizards began to seep into the world of muggles. Your task in the game will be to eliminate the traces of magic - as in Pokemon Go, artefacts will appear in specific locations, for example, in parks, libraries, zoos and similar places.
For the magical finds to go where they are supposed to be, you will need to cast a particular spell. Each spell complies with a symbol that needs to be depicted on the screen with the help of gestures. In this case, you will have to spend energy, to replenish which you will need to eat in taverns located in the world of muggles.
Users will also be allowed to collect ingredients for potions that enhance various abilities, as well as to fight against Death Eaters and Dementors that are invisible to others. Moreover, you will encounter portals in the magical world through which you can get, for example, to the Ollivander's magic wands store in Diagon Alley.
You can also choose the profession of your character - the Magizoologist, the Professor, and the Auror. They all differ in skills and abilities.
The game will be tasks for which the company will be required. Fortresses — multiplayer tests with especially dangerous enemies, among which will be Death Eaters and Dementors, have been created especially for joint passage.
Niantic has ambitious plans for this game: we are promised more than a hundred different AR-events at the launch, as well as the development of the game with “many years” adding content. The release date of the game is still unknown - it is planned for iOS and Android until the end of 2019. Pre-registration has already available on Google Play.
