Battlefield V's Chapter 4: Defying the Odds update comes out on June 27 and will provide players with a bunch of nice and free maps. DICE are doing their best to support the community with lots of content and as a surprise — no sight of BF5's successor appeared. We won't see a new part of Battlefield at E3 most likely, as EA wants the developers to continue working on current World War II shooter. Still, at the annual exhibition in Los Angeles, DICE will reveal more information about the free expansion.
Al Sundan, based on the Under No Flag mission, is the first map. The battle will be held in the North African desert, a large-scale map for 64 players. The next is Marita, which is also made for 64 warriors. The map's description says: "Marita transports players to a gorgeous mountainside with cobblestone roads overlooking a river, and features infantry-focused combat where Allied forces are making a last stand to halt the Axis army."
We also are waiting for Lofoten Island and Provence, which are smaller as they are made for close-quarters combat. These two are expected to be released this summer. Moreover, DICE will launch Operation Underground, a new map set to be released in October. This map is all about Battlefield 3's Operation Metro.
Another important information is that in the video we can see a hint about the next big map expansion for BF5: the Pacific Theatre. So all we have to do is wait for any news at the upcoming E3 2019. Stay tuned!
