A dataminer named OatmealDome recently discovered three new emulators hidden in Nintendo Switch NES Nintendo Switch Online app.
Kachikachi is the NES Classic emulator Nintendo released last year with a broad lineup of games. To access the emulator as well as multiplayer functions, Switch owners need to pay a monthly fee of $4 (there are other payment options, including family plans). We’ve recently reported on the January additions to the NES Classic lineup.
The former two most likely are Game Boy and Game Boy Advance emulators that will be added to the Switch subscription service in the future.
Another dataminer nicknamed KapuccinoHeck released a whole set of games prepared for SNES Classic:
The Nintendo fans got excited about the leaks and can’t wait to get their hands on the SNES Classic emulator. This line-up isn’t full yet, lacking some blockbusters like EarthBound, but Contra 3, Super Mario Kart, Mario World, and other high-profile titles should keep the players content for a while.
In one of his follow-up tweets, KapuccinoHeck said he wasn’t sure if the list of games is finalized, and we know that Nintendo will release additional games after the new emulator has been launched.
There is no official confirmation and timeline for the release of the new Switch emulators from Nintendo.
