Natus Vincere started this season of Dota 2 Pro Circuit with a brand new team who just qualified for DreamLeague Season 11 (the Stockholm Major). The squad had to go through the rough grinder of open qualifiers and then to overcome fierce competition in the closed qualifiers.
Closed qualifiers didn’t start well for Na’Vi as they took the third place in the group losing to Gambit Esports and The Pango. The team came back in the lower bracket of the playoffs, defeating both opponents from the group stage.
Here is what the coach of Na’Vi Andrey “Mag” Chipenko said after the qualifiers on Twitter:
A hard path through quals, tilt, Internet, technical defeat, tilt, open quals, Meepo lastpick ????. But this time nothing could stop us.
Natus Vincere has a tremendous legacy in the competitive Dota 2 as the team that won the first TI and held the title of one of the best teams in the world for years afterwards.
