Natus Vincere snatch #1 ranking from Astralis ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Ukrainian CS:GO team, Natus Vincere, has taken the number one spot from Astralis after the latter’s four-month stint at the top.

Their ascent comes a week after their victory at IEM Katowice, where they defeated teams like G2 Esports, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FaZe Clan, and even Astralis. In the Grand Finals, they beat G2 Esports with a convincing 3-0.

Astralis has sat at the top of the CS:GO World ranking for quite some time now. They did, however, suffer a brief drop due to Evil Geniuses last year for two weeks between October and November.

This ranking makes Natus Vincere’s second time at the top, with the first being back in April 2016. Thanks to their performance at DreamHack Masters Malmö and MLG Columbus Major, they secured the position and held on to it for three weeks.

Although in different groups, Natus Vincere will meet Astralis at ESL Pro League Season 11 and they’ll also faceoff at ESL One Rio 2020: New Legends Stage.
