The year 2018 was great for Ukrainian-based organization Natus Vincere. Especially for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division, while the best player of the year Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and co. managed to progress on the second place in the worldwide ranking and be a real competitor for the "unbeatable-Danish-machine" Astralis. Therefore, no wonder that lot's of esports companies (also non-endemic) wants to sign a partnership with the #1 team in Ukraine.
One of these companies is an analytics platform from Germany, a promising startup called DOJO Madness Company Shadow where both sides agreed to produce content highlighting the use of analytics in NAVI’s CS:GO team preparation.
German start-up is an esports platform which collects live in-game data from most popular esports titles, including League of Legends, CS:GO and Dota 2.
Tim Sevenhuysen, Head of Shadow at DOJO Madness has added few words in the official statement:
The types of analytics that are used to generate in-game advantages, this is a massively growing and spiking area in both traditional sports and esports. If you don’t have some kind of analytics solution,” he said, “you have a really big gap in the way you prepare if you’re competing at the top level.
This is a second deal this week for the European team in this "streaming and analytics" area, while the Na'Vi signed a long-term deal with streaming platform Caffeine. In September of last year, 21st Century Fox invested $100 million USD in the company, so the platform is definitely making moves, especially since esports is a big part of their push (streaming also classical sports, such as football or basketball)
