Universe of Metro franchise is dark and full of terrors: subways are filled with all kinds of filthy monstrosities, as well as the entire territory of postapocalyptic Russia. Mutants that inhabit Metro Exodus have slightly changed – the developers of the game announced new look of the lurkers.

Lurkers are the scavengers that feast on the fallen. Usually they will run at the first sign of trouble, but in groups, or if you provoke them they will attack.

These so-called scavengers have “obtained” gutty claws, their faces now resemble snouts of bats and bodies are covered with scarce coarse hair. What remains unchanged is their behavior: the lurkers are as timid as they were before, prefer eating carrion instead of fresh meat and attack you only if they’re supported with a big horde of fellow mutants.

Unlike their brothers from metro, tactics of terrestrial lurkers is pretty much the same: sudden rapid attacks and quick retreat to the shelter in order to regroup for a new strike.

Don’t forget that Metro Exodus will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 15, 2019. The project is developed by the 4A Games studio based in Ukraine who previously released Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light to a great success.
