beastcoast's Ramin "Mr.R" Delshad has now joined the number of pro players that have dropped their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tier list for version 6.1 of the game. He's considered one of the best Smash players in the world, ranked the 10th best Wii U player of all time on the PGR100 and 44th on PGRU Fall 2019.
This will most likely be one of the last version 6.1 tier lists we see before DLC Challenger 5 and update 7.0.0 arrive, but it's still great to observe the pro player's opinion of the current roster hierarchy.
Using a standard S+ to E ranking system, Mr. R provided his list with all characters ordered according to strength in each tier except S+ and D. Right at the top he placed Peach, Pikachu, Palutena, Joker, and Wario which is a bit consistent with other tier lists. Many others have put Joker at the zenith of their tier lists.
Mr. R also placed his mains, Snake, Chrom and Young Link in S, A, and B respectively. Others in S-tier are Zero Suit Samus, Shulk, Pokémon Trainer, Inkling, and Mr. Game & Watch. Meanwhile, A-tier is populated by Lucina, R.O.B., Greninja, Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Dark Samus, and Terry Bogard.
Joining Young Link in B-tier is joined by Hero, Ken Masters, Ness, Duck Hunt, Rosalina & Luma, Wii Fit Trainer, Cloud, and Sheik. Close to the bottom are the likes of Dr. Mario, Donkey Kong, Jigglypuff, and King K. Rool. Right at the bottom is Ganondorf in his lonesome, stuck in E-tier. This is a bit of a surprise since most other tier lists reserve this position for Little Mac.
Ryu, Robin, Mewtwo, Mii Brawler, Mii Gunner, and Mii Swordfighter weren't ranked because Mr. R doesn't consider them popular enough to do so.
