The best-of-three Grand Final series between Spanish Movistar Riders and the national team from Slovakia, featuring names like Ladislav “GuardiaN “ Kovács from FaZe Clan and 16-year-old prodigy David “Frozen” Čerňanský started on Inferno where the Spanish players controlled the course of the match from the start till the end. Especially the most experienced Spanish player Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas lead the stats to steal the first map for his team.
Moving on to the second map, MovistarRD map’s pick Mirage, we finally could see the chemistry between the GuardiaN and Frozen. The middle was just their territory. Proactive plays from Frozen on “B-short” combined with “NO-FEAR-NO-MERCY” GuardiaN’s playstyle in the window/connector were too deadly for the Spanish players. 1-1. Train as a decider.
The last map kicked off with an explosive play by Movistar Riders on A, which gave them the round after a successful after-plant defence. Mixwell then was able to get another ace after opening up the B site and the half eventually ended up 12:3 for them. In this point, it's really hard the get back on the right mindset and Slovakian players eventually had to capitulate 16:6 and leave the ticket to Kiev for Spanish Movistar Riders.
