Monster Hunter: World has already seen a few collaborations with well-established gaming universes like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Assassin’s Creed, for instance. Next comes The Witcher world, although in fact, the crossover in question has already happened, but on consoles only.
Back in February, Geralt appeared in Monster Hunter: World with a number of themed missions as well as signature gear and weapons. The console gaming community initially enjoyed it three months ago, but now the time has finally come for PC players to join the party. The Witcher event in Monster Hunter: World starts next month, on May 9. You’ll be able to play as Geralt and complete the first Special Assignment, which will grant you with crafting materials to create a set of witcher’s armour, a silver sword, and a shield. The next assignment, which will be made available starting with May 17, will be a bit tougher and will let you earn some other rewards, like Ciri’s armour set and dual blades.
The event doesn’t differ from the one, which was held on consoles in February, so you can give the initial news article another look. There’s a slightly troubling part, though, in regards to the content release schedule on PC, and PC players have all the rights to feel mistreated.
