Momochi ranks Akuma second to Seth in Street Fighter V: CE ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

EVO Japan 2019 champion Yusuke "Momochi" Momochi has had a long and successful career playing fighting games, especially in the Street Fighter series. As a professional, he recently shared his opinion on the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition roster.

Keeping in line with many other Japanese pros, Momochi thinks highly of Seth, placing the Street Fighter IV boss in the #1 position. Akuma follows Seth, and together, they make the sole occupants of tier S+. S tier also has only two characters, Urien and Kolin. Just like Akuma, they're often found within the first or second tier in many other pro tier lists. However, other familiar faces at the top like M.Bison and Rashid take residence in S- alongside others like Chun-Li, Poison, and Abigail.

Zeku, G, and Ibuki are the only ones in A+, while the other Street Fighter bosses Sagat and Gill sit much lower in B-tier along with Ryu, Ed, Cody, and a few others. Momochi regards the latter three better than many others, as they're often placed in the bottom tier. F.A.N.G. even made it above them into A-. Right at the bottom in C tier are the low-tier regulars Nash and Alex, joined by Falke.

Momochi's accolades include a first-place finish at both EVO 2015 and Capcom Cup 2014 in Ultra Street Fighter IV. Formerly a player for Evil Geniuses and Echo Fox, Momochi now plays for Victrix Pro and is part owner of the esports organization Shinobism.
