What do you usually do on the subway, in line, on long trips? That's right, most of you pass the time for your favorite mobile game. It is fast, convenient and portable. And serious people from the EEDAR organization together with the Sensor Tower expressed this love for mobile entertainment in the report numbers.
According to their latest report, entitled "Deconstructing Mobile & Tablet Gaming 2019", the number of people who prefer mobile games has increased by 5 percent since 2017. The study was conducted among residents of the USA and Canada. 210.9 million users of 283.1 mobile gadget owners play mobile games.
The fact that the popularity of mobile games is growing is not at all surprising. Now even a 2-year-old child quite independently can occupy himself in the simplest game on a tablet or smartphone. Plus, many schoolchildren now have smartphones or tablets with them in the schools. Today, mobile devices are not so expensive so almost everyone can afford them.
The report also states that in both countries, children most often play on tablets. For comparison: 83% of children against 54% of adolescents and adults.
The study also revealed that the most popular platform of mobile games for players are smartphones based on Android, because they are cheaper than the rest of the "fellows."
“Sixty percent of Americans and Canadians play mobile games because of the rich library of content available. Mobile games such as Candy Crush Saga, Clash of Clans, Pokemon Go, Roblox, Fortnite and Slotomania, among many others, are examples of the breadth and depth of engaging experiences available on mobile platforms.”
Convenience and availability of mobile games have a massive advantage over other gadgets. In our opinion, and judging by the trend towards an increase in the number of mobile players, the future is in games on phones and tablets. Already, we can track the growing popularity of such games as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile and Fortnite Mobile - these are relatively new games, but people of all ages are playing in them.
