The offline qualifier for MLG Columbus, the first major to pay out $1 million to the competing teams, started today. You'll find everything you need to know about the event right here, in our viewer's guide.
Sixteen teams, hailing from all corners of the world, will be taking part in the offline qualifier for MLG Columbus, taking place from February 26-28 inside the American company's esports arena, in Columbus, Ohio.
Half of those teams received invitations due to their results at the previous major, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, while the remaining eight sides were determined by qualifiers held in Europe, Asia and North America.
The MLG Columbus qualifier will feature a double-elimination format, with a best-of-one system being used up until the decider matches, which will be best-of-three clashes.
At the end of the event, the top two teams from each group will secure spots at the $1 million major, where they will be joined by the eight-best teams from Cluj-Napoca, dubbed "Legends".
All matches will be streamed in English by MLG via its own streaming site but also via Twitch.
