After leaving Counter Logic Gaming in March, Stephanie "MissHarvey" Harvey returns as the new director of esports franchise development and outreach.
MissHarvey fills the brand new position in the organization, which will have her "focus on engaging with the female esports community to provide a platform for inclusivity-focused esports programming." She will also help create brand engagements with some of CLG’s partners.
CLG’s COO Dan Fleeter said in a statement:
“Stephanie is a legend in the esports industry. Having played professionally for 16 years, we recognize the expertise and innovative mindset that [MissHarvey] brings to CLG. As an organization, we are committed to growing esports by empowering all those that play, and Stephanie shares in our vision.”
MissHarvey was a member of CLG Red, the organization’s all-female professional CS:GO team. With multiple wins as a player, she also spent some time coaching and casting. Additionally, MissHarvey has worked with the International Olympic Committee and other esports entities on the possibility of adding esports to the Olympic Games. MissHarvey was named one of Forbes’ brightest “30 Under 30” in gaming in 2014 and also featured in BBC’s “100 Women” series in 2016.
The creation of this new position will help find solutions on how to make the community more inclusive and shows CLG's dedication to diversity in esports.
