Some games never get old, and the mobile market isn’t an exception. Sensor Tower Store Intelligence reports that in 2018 Minecraft earned $110 million on mobile alone! It rose 7% since 2017 when it grossed almost $103 million.
2018 started with Minecraft’s best quarter ever on mobile devices, when it grossed an estimated $30 million from players worldwide. This was 22 percent more than the $24.5 million we estimate it generated during the first quarter of 2017.
Almost half of the revenue (48%) of Minecraft mobile last year came from the USA, where people spent $52.8 million on premium purchases and the game itself, Great Britain comes at the second place (6.6%) with $7.3 million.
Overall, Minecraft has almost reached $500 million in gross sales on mobile platforms worldwide. The game launched in 2014 and now it’s listed as #95 game in global revenue across iOS and Android.
Previously, we reported, that in 2018 the Candy Crush game series earned over 1.5 billion across all mobile platforms.
