Microsoft is at its best with the ugly Christmas Windows 95 sweater

Are you among those who still think that 1995 was 5 years ago? Beware the breaking news - it's actually close to 25 years now. That time period will always be remembered by wonderful movies and of course by the launch of Windows 95 which served as a turning point for development of PC operating systems. Isn't that alone a reason serious enough to praise Microsoft for what they've done?

In case it's not enough Microsoft has hopped on a challenge to make the ugliest Christmas sweater featuring - you bet! - the aforementioned Windows 95. This is one of those things that you never care about - until you see one. And there's something subtly magical in the distinguished looks of the sweater. Don't you even dare say that you were left absolutely indifferent when you first saw that both beauty and the beast in a single piece:

Unfortunately for all of us, the sweater is not entering the mass production cycle. It is likely being handed out to company's employees and a few other lucky bastards only. Still, it's a great display of corporate humor and self-irony performed by Microsoft. These pals right there sure know a thing or two about making nice jokes - and doing great marketing at the same time.

Let's also take a quick look at the Windows 95 launch and the way how lit it was. If only Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer had a couple of those majestic sweaters back then!
