Microsoft created a greaseproof Xbox controller

Another dream of many gamers comes true: now you can eat while playing your favorite console games and not worry about making your controller all filthy with grease! Microsoft presented a brand-new greaseproof gamepad, in order to celebrate a full-scale scale launch of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox and release of version 1.0. 

Creators of the controller said that approaching the concept, they based their decision on the fact all the dust, dirt and grease sticking to controller always makes your life harder. Inspired by the phrase “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner”, Xbox Australia team developed a unique controller with polyurethane surface aimed to protect your device from grease or sauce the friend chicken’s so generously covered with. On top of that, they collaborated with ColorWave to make a unique design for the new gamepad. 

Microsoft has only made 200 of these gamepads and the device will not be available for purchase. 10 of them will be given away on the Australian page of Xbox on Facebook. The rest will be sent out to different parts of the world and most likely serve as giveaway prizes in Xbox related social media.
