Legendary Super Smash Bros. player, Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman dominated the Super Smash Bros. Melee scene alongside the remaining five gods of Melee. His technical play style made him a force to be reckoned with, which earned him his spot among the best Melee players ever.
Although he's taken an interest in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate since its release, Mew2King still plays Melee. So much so, that he recently released a tier list to share his views on the game's roster. The video is the culmination of all his knowledge from over a decade of playing the game. According to him, this will be his last (and first) Melee tier list on YouTube.
On his Most Valuable Gaming YouTube channel, Mew2king broke his tier list into two videos. The first features characters ranked F-C tier, while the second completes the list with B-S tier or, in other words, his top 10.
Right at the bottom of the tier list is Bowser, who's considered only viable on the stage "Yoshi's Story," which is often banned. In F tier with him is Kirby, followed by Zelda while E tier had just two characters, Roy and Ness. D tier (Low Tier) had the majority of the roster, with characters like MewTwo, both Links, Ganondorf, Mr. Game & Watch, and even Mario situated here.
Pikachu topped B tier (High Tier) while A tier (Top Tier) had Sheik ahead of all the others. In S tier (God Tier), Mew2King placed Fox in fourth place, Falco in third, Jigglypuff in second, and Marth at the top. His thoughts on the roster are similar to Adam "Armada" Lindgren.
Mew2King took the time to explain his reasoning behind each character's rank, including their strengths and weaknesses. His depth of knowledge truly shined and provides a hint at how he managed to become one of the world's best Melee players.
