North American team compLexity Gaming shared exciting news about their Dota 2 division. According to the official Twitter account, the team testing Muriëlle “Kips” Huisman as their first female coach. She will be working with the squad during ESL One Katowice 2019 which kicks off today.
There are so few female faces on the professional esports scene that the coL decision to give Kips a try is very inspiring.
This is not the first big event or a high tier team for Kips. She worked as a coach for Vega Squadron between September of 2017 and June of 2018. Muriëlle also was an analyst for TNC Predator and Fnatic. By the way, here is a tweet Kips made during the previous ESL One tournament:
ESL One Katowice 2019 will be taking place between February 19th and 24th. It's going to be the first ESL Dota 2 tournament in several months streamed on Twitch instead of Facebook. The prize pool of the event is $300,000 with $125,000 going in the hands of the champion. ESL invited eight teams to the event, and four more qualified through regional server qualifiers.
