MDL Autumn 2016: Day 1 Results

Today we saw the first day of MarsTV Dota 2 Autumn League 2016 and witnessed the best teams from all over the world battling their way through into the play-offs. The GLS group stage matches were played in best-of-three format.

Newbee took the first place in Group A after defeating

 Team Secret first and then beating

 MVP.Phoenix. Team Secret will have to fight with

 LGD Forever Young and winner of the match will meet MVP.Phoenix trying to stay in the tournament. We'll see how it goes!

Group B on the other hand has American team on the top -

 Evil Geniuses are again showing their strength. Considering that

 OG and EG ended up in the same group, lots of people were looking forward to their match-up as both teams are the favorites right now. And they met eventually in the final match where EG shut down N0tail and his teammates 2:1. Before that EG won over

 Vici Gaming but not without a fight cause the Chinese team refused to give up. Unlike their opponents, OG had zero issues beating

 iG Vitality - the entire series took less than an hour.
