Minchul "MC" Jang announced that he'll be retiring from StarCraft 2 after playing in an upcoming qualifier.

MC had already retired from professional gaming in 2015, but came back to play in various tournaments including 2015 Red Bull Battle Grounds: Washington, where he and Chris "HuK" Loranger paired up and took the championship.

He had since been streaming and playing in occasional tournaments, but now says that due to financial and health issues involving his shoulder, will be wrapping up his SC2 days altogether.

According to esportsearnings.com, MC is the highest prize winner in SC2 history, being the first player to earn $200,000 over various tournaments and making over $500,000 throughout his career. He took home first place at big name events such as the 2014 WCS Season 1 Europe in Germany.
