MAD Lions has been crowned the second-best team from Denmark in the 2020 CS:GO season after performing much better than their competitors in Heroic and North. Despite this title, MAD Lions announced last week the benching of in-game leader HUNDEN after he had some lackluster performances with the roster. This change was met with multiple levels of controversy due to the tactical depth he brought to the roster. This change also cost MAD Lions their spot in the Europe Minor Closed Qualifier. Complexity was invited in their place and managed to qualify for the Europe Minor.
AcilioN was a member of Copenhagen Flames from August 2019 to February 2020 and has now been picked up by more of his fellow Danes. AcilioN became a popular name during his eight-month stint on Heroic.
With the addition of AcilioN, MAD Lions is now:
- Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen
- Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand
- Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen
- Rasmus "sjuush" Beck
- Asger "AcilioN" Larsen
- Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu (Coach)
- Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen (Bench)
MAD Lions' new roster will debut in FLASHPOINT Season 1, which is set to kick off on March 13 in Los Angeles, California.
