MAD Lions are the champions of Flashpoint Season 1

Last weekend marked the end of the Flashpoint Season 1 Playoffs, with MAD Lions crowned the victors after defeating MIBR 2:1 in the Grand Finals.

MAD Lions had a flawless run through the Playoffs until they met MIBR in the Upper Bracket Finals, which they lost. On the other hand, MIBR won both its matches leading up to the Upper Bracket Final after conceding one game each.

Losing 1:2 to MIBR, MAD Lions met HAVU Gaming in the Lower Bracket Finals and proceeded to beat them 2:0 as well. This victory earned them a rematch with MIBR in the Grand Finals, and though they lost the first map, MAD Lions managed to win the remaining two. The scoreline on all three maps had the victors three points ahead every time.

MIBR proved to be MAD Lions one real threat during the Playoffs as FunPlus Phoenix, Cloud9, and HAVU Gaming were all unable to take a single map from the Spanish organization. Yet, they failed to dominate the Brazilian team the same way

The Flashpoint Season 1 champions MAD Lions won $500,000 in prize money, while MIBR received half that amount, and HAVU Gaming went home $100,000.
