In their statement, LGD discussed the team's current placement in the League of Legends Pro League. So far, the team has only won a single best-of-three in four weeks. They told fans that it is "difficult and bitter for us to face this harsh reality as there is a desire to honor [LGD's] heritage" as an esports team with a long history of success.
LGD introduced Yun as a highly ranked Chinese jungler on the Korean solo queue ladder. The announcement stated that he has a strong foundation in Korean language speaking and understanding, so they believe he can add to the fluidity of team communication. Yun has previously played for Team DK under the ID "shiqu." He was part of the DK roster that played the 2015 LPL Spring Expansion Tournament, though they did not qualify for the LPL.
According to LGD's weibo announcement, Yun will rotate with existing Chinese junglers, Xie "Eimy" Dan and Lisheng "xiaoxi" Wei. Given LGD's recent lack of success, it's reasonable to believe that, should the team find wins with Yun, he will become a permanent fixture on the roster.
This coming weekend, LGD Gaming play only one series against
