Australian organization Legacy eSports venture into CS:GO with the acquisition of Faceit 2015 Stage 3 Oceanic winners Animal Squad.

Mere hours after Animal Squad were declared champions of the Faceit 2015 Stage 3 Oceanic division topping a four way tie, it has been announced they are now to represent Australian organization Legacy eSports, known in the region for their League of Legends team.

It is noted in their official announcement, however, that the team and organization have been in talks for months. "We're overjoyed to be sharing our journey with Legacy," stated Captain Sam "mizu" Richardson, "our aspirations closely align and I hope only great things proceed."

After a dark horse perfomance during Faceit, upsetting regional favorites Renegades and Immunity, we will get to see Legacy eSports offline at an international event very soon, as they will be attending the LAN finals at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden from November 26th to the 28th, where $250,000 will be on the line.

The lineup signed to Legacy eSports remains the same as it was in Animal Squad, with three Australians and two New Zealanders:

  • Mike "Moku" Aliferis
  • Sam "mizu" Richardson
  • Steve "busta" Brewer
  • Razmik "RaZ" Bastadjan
  • Chris "ofnu" Hanley
