League of Legends player Uzi partnered with Nike

Uzi will be the first eSports player who will join worldwide brand as a ambassador

If you are a fan of the most popular MOBA game League of Legends, you probably know that Riot Games (developers of the game) are very strict about partnering with other brands, players included. However times have changed and for the first time we can see a big brand joining our community. A few weeks ago we have found out about the cooperation between Riot Games and Mastercard, which will support them in the World Championship for the first time. And now, another big brand from a different field announced new collaboration with one of the most famous Chinese players.

Jian Zihao, better known by his in-game name Uzi, is a pro-player from China who is currently the AD Carry for Royal Never Give Up. Throughout his career Uzi has been considered by many as one of the most mechanically skilled League of Legends players, if not the best overall. And with that knowledge, Nike didn’t wait a minute and contacted him to discuss possibilities of partnership. Uzi will be the first pro-player to get an endorsement deal with Nike, so it’s definitely a big step not just for League of Legends, but for the entire esports industry as well. The endorsement has not yet been formally announced, so we will have to wait a bit to see the final product, but what we know is that Jain will join the high-profile athletes such as LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, Serena Williams, Odell Beckham Jr. and Cristiano Ronaldo. Not bad, huh?
