Earlier today Riot Games announced the host regions for the League of Legends World Championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021. With this year’s Worlds concluding on Saturday in South Korea, the company are looking to reassure the fanbase of their commitment to LoL esports.

Next year’s edition of Worlds will return to Europe after a four year hiatus. The last European finals took place in 2015 in the capital of Germany - Berlin. In 2019, Riot are looking to invite fans to the AccorHotels Arena in Paris. The following year will see League of Legends return to China, where the 2017 World Championship broke various viewership records. The culmination of 2021 in LoL esports is set to take place somewhere in North America. The region has played host to three out of the eight League of Legends World Championships to date.
