The LCS Players Association has secured a way to increase professional level practice that fulfils the contractual obligation of pros and helps promote League of Legends.
LCS pros will now be able to stream their matches on the Tournament Realm, the LA-based server that hosts official LCS matches. It will not only improve the quality of their practice through better ping but also help them meet their contractual stream requirements.
These streams will not be official scrims but instead, in-house practice games consisting of ten pros, each in the correct role but not necessarily from the same team. Their solo queue activity will not only serve as good practice but also constitute a part of the obligated streams mandated by their contracts.
President Darshan "Darshan" Upadhyaya and the rest of the LCS Players Association have been hard at work this off-season, with more improvements left to announce in the next couple of days. Just as with streaming on the Tournament Realm, these improvements will help increase the quality of content produced by the LCS and the level of play seen.
