After a long month’s break the LCS European summer season started from the superweek.

After a long month’s break the LCS European summer season started from the super-week, which was held within the biggest digital festival DreamHack Summer 2013. Again, the eight strongest teams will compete for the name of the best team in a region and for the opportunity to play in a final of the season, which will be held in the middle of autumn. During three gaming days (June 15, 16 and 17) 20 matches were played and many of those matches showed us really surprising results.

The first gaming day began with the confrontation between the finalists of spring season - Gambit Gaming and Fnatic. Especially it was interesting to watch the game of GG with its renewed staff. But that day, unfortunately, the disappointment was waiting for all the fans of the Russian team. The result is two losses in two matches. The same situation faced SK Gaming’s players. They also lost their first two matches. Concerning the new teams the situation was completely opposite. The blood is roiling and the newcomers eager to win. MeetYourMakers and Team ALTERNATE started in a very good way. These two teams managed to beat their rivals quite easily.

The second gaming day of the first week was even more intensive: 10 matches and even more agiotage around the results. MeetYourMakers and Team ALTERNATE continued to surprise the audience. Another series of victories and these two teams pass on with the score 4-0. Very few of us expected this, but it happened. Gambit Gaming returned back into the ranks. They managed to recover after the bad first day and won the next three battles. Especially Darker, the new team support, pleased everyone with the uncharacteristic for this role quantity of kills.. Evil Geniuses, Fnatic and Lemondog continued to perform the mediocre gaming and results, alternating wins and losses. As to SK Gaming, the team again finished the day with two losses and slipped to the lowest line of the tournament grid. Ninjas in Pyjamas shared the lowest line along with SK Gaming with the statistics 0-4.

Only three matches were carried out in the last day, but every of them were interesting in its own way. The competition between MeetYourMakers and Team ALTERNATE had to define the winner. The confrontation between Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, as well as between Evil Geniuses and SK Gaming had to show if the low-ranking teams could finish the week at least with one victory.
