Kumite Gaming kicked off the year with Kumite in Tennessee 2020, which took place over the weekend at Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, Franklin Tennessee.

Featuring tournaments in 11 main titles and two side events, Tekken 7 came out on top with 160 entrants. Mortal Kombat 11 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate followed with 100 entrants each. The other games present were Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Dead or Alive 6, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat XL, Samurai Shodown, and Soul Calibur VI. The side events were 3v3 Tekken 7 and Super Mario Kart

Starting the year with a bang is the Pakistani EVO and EVO Japan 2019 champion, Arslan "Arslan Ash" Siddique, who took first place in Tekken 7. In Mortal Kombat 11, Ninjakilla212 took home the Shao Kahn trophy while Kolawole "Kola" Aideyan and Adam “Neon” Ramirezwon the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition tournaments respectively.
