Pro Evolution Soccer series has faced some rough times recently. Konami has lost its license for using the Champions League in-game - its greatest advantage over EA Sports FIFA franchise which now unsurprisingly features the aforementioned league with the latest installment in form of FIFA 19. Perhaps, EA offered a few bucks more - and the PES fans are left with nothing. In response, Konami announced several new licensed leagues which honestly didn't feel at least half as good as the Champions League.
But right now Konami might've picked a trump card with its freshly new released feature for PES 2019 - the game went free-to-play with the version PES 2019 Lite a week ago. It obviously includes only parts of the content available in the game, although the main features are there for you to enjoy the latest football simulator by Konami in its full glory. The description of this free offer says that you can play the PES League mode, the offline Exhibition Match, Training mode and of course the online myClub mode which is an equivalent of FIFA Ultimate Team in case you wonder.
The free-to-play version of the game promotes in-game microtransactions but you are not obligated to actually buy anything beyond the content listed above, although the myClub mode notoriously pulls out a lot of money out of players. The same goes for FIFA Ultimate Team to be honest. PES 2019 Lite doesn't include the all-time favourite singleplayer career mode but serves pretty well in case you only wanted to battle rivals in online modes.
It is worth noting that the previous games in the series were also blessed with free-to-play editions which were pretty much the same in regards of content included. The new version utilizes, of course, PES 2019 as the basic foundation and if there's something you don't like about the latest installment in PES series - the same obviously applies to the Lite version.
