KojiKOG releases his Granblue Fantasy Versus matchup chart

KojiKOG releases his Granblue Fantasy Versus matchup chart ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!
Like many other fighting game pros, Kyoto Susanoo’s Kazuyuki "KojiKOG" Koji has taken an interest in Arc System Works’ latest fighting game, Granblue Fantasy Versus. Better known for his use of T.Hawk in Street Fighter IV, the Japanese pro stays true to his grappler style by picking up Ladiva.
Getting some input from other Japanese players like Ryo "Dogura" Nozaki and Tsutomu "kubo" Kubota, KojiKOG has created a matchup chart to share their views on the current state of the game. Each player was assigned a character, which they then provided insight on. Dogura took on Percival, kubo was Gran, Lowain for Utsumi "DoraBang" Ryuji, Koichi with Katalina, Tahichi was Metera, Ferry for Jin, Ninomae with Vaseraga, Hishow as Charlotta, and Tamai took Lancelot. KojiKOG picked Ladiva for himself while an unnamed player took care of Zeta.

Once more, we see Katalin and Gran take the top, but they’re joined by Lancelot this time. While the first two are consistent with every region’s tier lists, Japanese players seem to regard Lancelot better than the rest of the community does. Katalina is number one with seven favorable matchups and one loss to Lancelot, while Gran and her nemesis had six good matchups instead. Unfortunately for Lowain, the players believe he can’t win any single matchup, but it’s not too lonely at the bottom since Zeta isn’t too far ahead of him.
The left side of the chart indicates the character and player, while the top displays their matchups. The cross symbol indicates bad matchups while the circle is good; the triangle means they’re equal, and the dash shows that there’s no clear opinion. The color black also indicates that the players agreed with the ratings, while red means they didn’t.
Each character received at least two or three disagreements while Lowain had unanimous votes all through. Although no character rating was all disagreements, KojiKOG’s Ladiva was riddled with a lot of red.
