Kievan "Metro-developers" have moved to Malta

The staff of 4A Games, which developed Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light games, landed in Malta yesterday.

4A Games, Ukrainian developers of computer games, moved to Malta. They announced their move in May of this year. According to Andrei Prokhorov, the founder and creative director of the company, the reason for the move was the war in Ukraine, and the complicated conditions for building normal relationships with investors and publishers.

Dean Sharpe (the CEO of 4A Games), in his turn, reminded about the benefits of Malta as a member of the European Union to do business in the international market. According to him, the change of geographical location of the company’s head office will not stop engaging the most talented Ukrainian specialists in the field of game development to the work of the studio.

Andrei Prokhorov in his Facebook-account could not resist writing about his emotions concerning the move. He wrote that he felt a bit a traitor, because he was leaving his motherland in such a difficult moment. At the same time, Andrei wrote: "Ukraine, we love you, just a piece of Ukraine will appear in not very distant Malta. 4A Games Malta is a Ukrainian company! "

We would also remind you that only in one week HD-reissue of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Ligh - Metro Redux games will be released.
