Keanu doubled his screen time in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020, and that was before we knew Keanu Reeves would be in it. However, it seems the star has also fallen in love with the game. Or to be more specific, the character he plays. 

Keanu voices the enigmatic Johnny Silverhand. The character plays a significant role in Cyberpunk 2077 and was in the tabletop game as well. The Hollywood star enjoyed playing the character so much that he decided to double his screen time in the game. 

As a result, Johnny Silverhand has the most spoken dialogue out of all NPCs in Cyberpunk 2077. Keanu's presence in the game was revealed on stage at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference and took fans entirely by surprise. It was such a huge hit; it immediately went viral on social media. 

The Italian voice actor, Luca Ward, revealed the added dialogue for Johnny Silverhand, in an interview with Gian Luca Rocco. Ward said that Keanu enjoyed playing Johnny Silverhand so much that he demanded the developers double the screen time for his character. As a result, Ward also had to increase his dialogue in the game. 

Cyberpunk 2077 is still far from release, but fans know better than to try and put pressure on CD Projekt Red. The game is based on the tabletop adventure Cyberpunk, which was created by Michael Pondsmith. The upcoming game features first-person gameplay in a massive RPG world. 

Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to release on April 16, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
