Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović has left 100 Thieves, leaving the head coach spot for the CS:GO team vacant. According to a tweet from the official 100 Thieves Twitter account, kassad and the organization mutually agreed to the separation.
After extensive discussions, we’ve mutually agreed to part ways with our CS:GO Head Coach, Kassad. We appreciate his work with the squad over the past few years and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. pic.twitter.com/PlkpD8Xwtb

kassad released a Twitlonger after the announcement and provided some more insight into his departure:

I know this came as a suprise to everyone , but the truth is that we have been drifting apart in more ways than one for a while now.I was personally generally unhappy with our progress and stagnation on the same level ever since the start of the last year. The biggest difference in opinions was about how to approach and more importantly how to solve the problems that we had for a while now. There is no "bad blood" between us ,it's just towards the end our visions for the future of the team and how to reach the next level didn't align, sometimes that happens and it's perfectly alright.
With the departure of kassad, 100 Thieves is now made up of:
- Aaron "AZR" Ward
- Justin "jks" Savage
- Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
- Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai
- Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
100 Thieves is currently participating in ESL One: Road to Rio, and are set to play Triumph later today.
