TwitchCon 2019 was held over the weekend in San Diego where it also happened to host a Twitch Rivals Teamfight Tactics tournament. Cloud9's Juan "Jschritte" Freitas emerged victorious, taking home over $15,000 in prize money.
With a total of $75,000 on the line, a variety of talented players competed in the exciting tournament. Jschritte managed to pass through the Open Qualifiers to take his place among the 32 players of the Group Stage. Placed in Group B, he had to face the likes of DisguisedToast, Brian Keibler and Lothar.
During the tournament, Jschritte displayed an uncanny ability to quickly read the situation and adapt his lineup into a winning team. Making it to the single match Grand Finals, the Brazilian player had to defeat Dog, Disguised Toast, Hafu, Jac0b0, K3soju, Scarra and Sleettft.
Jschritte used aggressive tactics with his all four Wild champions, three Assassins and three Shapeshifter to decimate the opposition. His final group placements were four 1st place, two 2nd and one 4th place finish. The second place runner up was G2 Esports' streamer, Hafu. While third place went to fellow Cloud9 TFT player, K3soju.
