Johnny Cage revealed as a Mortal Kombat 11 fighter

IGN just released the Johnny Cage of Mortal Kombat 11 reveal trailer with the new playable character. On the trailer, you can see him using many close combat attacks, ranged attacks, getting help from a stunt actor, and using an Oscar Statuette as a weapon.

Johnny Cage has probably the most entertaining fatality in the history of Mortal Combat, which puts the character and the enemy in sort of a zombie movie set with the protagonist beating the head out of the opponent. In the closing moments, Johnny throws the head into the camera and produces a smiley face decorated by “$500 sunglasses” while giving the finger as the cherry on the cake.

Mortal Kombat 11 developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros launches on April 23rd on PC (Steam), Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Judging by the publicly available promotional materials, the game will be as bloody and violent as any other Mortal Combat title.
