This season might be the worst in the career of Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, who has been migrating from one squad to another and trying to find a footnote in the Dota 2 Pro Circuit. The last attempt in the form of Flying Penguins didn’t bring stark results either, and the team has already disbanded.
Flying Penguins were officially formed as a team in the end of December of 2018. They stuck together for a couple of months, trying to get through online qualifiers to DreamLeague S11, StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, and ESL One Mumbai. Unfortunately, the best result of the team was qualifying to the Minor in Ukraine and getting to the semi-finals.
The future of EternaLEnVy and the rest of the players doesn’t seem bright, at least for the duration of DPC season. Most of them will find a stack to play with during the open quals to the remaining four DPC events, but they will be hard-pressed to find a sponsor before the start of the post-TI reshuffle period.
Former members of Flying Penguins:
- Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao
- Eric “Ryoya” Dong
- Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu
- Francis “FrancisLee” Lee
- Rodrigo “Liposa” Santos
