ESL have released the group draw for Intel Extreme Masters: Katowice which is being held on March 4th-6th.
The finals of the tenth season of the Intel Extreme Masters series will be played in Katowice, where twelve teams will cross their spears for the lion's share of $250,000. Half of the participants were determined through their standings at the last held major at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, where the top eight teams of this event received a direct invite for IEM: Katowice. The rest of the participants grinded their way through qualifiers.
With Intel Extreme Masters: Taipei behind us, only one spot is left to be filled and to have the participants list for IEM Katowice fully filled. This means that only North American teams will have a chance to grab the last spot as the online qualifier for North American teams is scheduled for February 12th-14th.

The format of IEM Katowice is set to round robin group stage, where the winners of each group will advance to the semi-finals, whilst the second and third place teams of both groups will then fight in the quarter finals.
