On the third day of Intel Extreme Masters XIV - World Championship at Katowice 2020, we see four more CS:GO teams drop out of the Group Stage and the tournament. 

Group A lost Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Vitality after they failed to defeat Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan in their Lower Bracket Round 2 matches. As for Group B, we saw TYLOO lose to 100 Thieves 0-2, and suffer a 1-2 defeat at the hands of MAD Lions.  

Evil Geniuses and mousesports also sustained losses from Team Liquid and G2 Esports, respectively, sending them to Group B’s Lower Bracket Round 2. 

Here are the IEM Katowice 2020 - CS:GO day three results:

Group A

Natus Vincere vs. Ninjas in Pajamas - 2: 0

Team Vitality vs. FaZe Clan - 1: 2

Group B vs. MAD Lions - 1: 2

100 Thieves vs. TYLOO - 2: 0

mousesports vs. G2 Esports - 1: 2

Team Liquid vs. Evil Geniuses - 2: 1 

Day four will have Group A’s Astralis face Fnatic in Upper Bracket Round 3, while in the Lower Bracket, Natus Vincere will take on FaZe Clan. In Group B, we also see the Upper Bracket Round 3 match between G2 Esports and Team Liquid. If that isn’t enough action for you, Lower Bracket Round 2 will feature matches of its own. Evil Geniuses will compete against 100 Thieves while mousesports gets the chance to beat MAD Lions

The Group Stage winners will advance to the Playoff Semifinals, while second and third place moves to the Quarterfinals instead. The IEM Katowice 2020 CS:GO tournament ends on March 1, featuring a $500,000 prize pool.
