IEM Chicago 2018 is set to start

16 world class teams will be battling for the number one spot in the USA.

Today, CS:GO fans can enjoy their day with another prestige event in North America, with best teams through the whole world. The tournament will take place from November 6-11 in the Midwestern city's 10,000-seater Wintrust Arena in Chicago, the USA with  $250,000 in the prize pool. 

The group stage will feature a double-elimination format, with best-of-one opening matches followed by best-of-three series in the remaining stages. The group winners will automatically progress to the semi-finals, while the runners-up and the teams coming out of the lower bracket will face off in the quarter-finals for the chance to compete on the main stage of the event in a best-of-five series.
