IEM Chicago 2018 - Day 1 ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

The CS:GO show in Chicago with 16 teams on board and $250,000 in prize pool has started yesterday and we have witnessed first 8 best-of-one matches and some surprising performance from the young players. Let’s have a look on the matches of IEM Chicago's first day :

As you can see, most of the favourite teams, such as Astralis, Fnatic or FaZe, won their first matches. On the other hand, Natus Vincere failed really hard against new American roster from eUnited 6:16 and will have to fix their reputation in the match against German machine from BIG today.

What may surprise a lot of CS:GO fans is the best player of the event so far - slovakian player Martin “Styko” Styk. He was benched from mouz earlier this year and then recruited back after the new Polish hope Snax didn’t really fit with the rest of the roster. Martin is leading in stats with a 1.89 K/D ratio while his teammate from Mousesports, Finnish heavy fragger SuNny, is right behind him.

And last but not least, here is the best action of the day 1 - Danish clutch master Xyp9x made it again! No words needed, just watch it…

See you tomorrow for the recap of the second day of IEM Chicago action! Enjoy the games!
