The last iBUYPOWER tournament was the iBUYPOWER Cup 2015 in November, which Cloud9 won after defeating Liquid in the final to take home $65,000 in cash prizes. Since then, a lot has changed as the best teams in the North American region including Cloud9, Luminosity, Liquid, and CLG made roster changes.
The tournament will take place online where eight teams will be trying to best one another in a single-elimination best-of-three format. The iBP Spring Invitational will be running for two days, March 19th and 20th.
Four of the teams participating have already been announced, headlined by Luminosity who are the fourth best team in the world according to our rankings. Their Brazilian brethren from Tempo Storm join them alongside Renegades and OpTic. The four remaining teams will be revealed on March 11th, the date set by iBP to make the announcement.
