How to unlock Frost in Mortal Kombat 11
As always, the Mortal Kombat series provide us with tons of characters, new heroes, upgraded old heroes, etc. And as it usually happens, there are unlockable characters in MK11 that we can get, not all the characters are available for the game initially. Apparently, that was the decision of the developers so that players who ignore the story mode of the game still trying to play it. There are two official ways to unlock Frost in Mortal Kombat 11, and we will tell you how to do it in a short guide.
Who is Frost in MK11?
First of all, let’s start with a little background: what kind of a person and character she is and why she's interesting to us. TL;DR of the video below: SubZero was her mentor!
Frost got her name for obvious reasons (a warrior with freezing powers), and she is the evil Sub-Zero’s pupil, student, and not an entirely new character in the game because she already appeared (as a hero, but not a playable character and images) in many previous parts of the series: Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Deception, Mortal Kombat: Unchained, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and MKX (as an NPC). She also presented in MKX Comic series, launched and published by DC Comics in association with NetherRealm Studios., but never in the MK movies. We're happy to see her return to Mortal Kombat. She is one of the members of the Lin Kuei clan and should be feared because she never makes an error, keeps her mind clear, and always knows how to use her frost abilities right.
Here's some information in English about Frost from Mortal Kombat:
"Grandmaster Sub-Zero’s most dangerous apprentice. When Sub-Zero made a historic peace with his clan’s enemy, Scorpion, defiant Frost challenged her Grandmaster as unfit to lead. Sub-Zero defeated and banished Frost. For years, she sought the power to destroy him. Now she has it."
How to unlock Frost?
Here we go, a guide on how to unlock Frost Mortal Kombat 11. It's quite easy and available for anyone, so just head below for the details.
Option #1 — Complete the Story Mode
As for the tons of Mortal Kombat content, people should just play the story mode, featuring the most-known characters like Raiden and the newcomers like Cassie Cage. It’ll cost you only 1.5-2 hours of comfortable sitting and chilling in the armchair (or on a couch, depends on your preferences), while watching a spectacular movie, rarely being involved in some easy fights.
Frost will be unlocked after you complete the 4th part of MK11.
Some resources state that you should follow some particular order of actions to unlock this character, but they are wrong. I was mixing Sub-Zero choice with Scorpion and got Frost in my roster. But there are cases in the net when gamers played the fourth part 3 or 4 times in a row and didn’t unlock the new character. We have no answer to this problem yet (we’ll update it later), but now we can only guess that you should play the storyline further, without pause after the fourth part and you’ll get desirable Frost.
Option #2 — Buy Frost for real money
The easiest way is by the in-game microtransactions. No matter where you play (computer or console) and how you play (device or keyboard), anyone can pay $5.99 (€5.99) to get Frost MK11, Steam (PC-version) or PSN.

We were not surprised to see only negative reviews on her page, because you can get Frost for free.

Mortal Kombat 11’s rating on Metacritic is 2.7 out of 10.
According to users, it’s mostly not the mechanics that are being scolded, but a very intrusive system of microtransactions, which is unusual for a $60 game. As the situation above shows, at least some of the reasons for this attitude are present.
