How to play co-op in Halo 5: Guardians ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Halo 5: Guardians has always been one of the most popular games for the Xbox One. Despite the fact that it got released in 2015, the game is still very popular among all Xbox owners out there. In fact, this version of the game has the most “fighting” in it compared to the rest, which is definitely a big positive, even though not everyone agrees on that.

Despite the awesome graphics, many people criticize this game for its weak campaign but to be fair, this is more of a personal preference. Having said that, Halo 5: Guardians offer the players a choice to play a co-op campaign, something which is actually pretty fun to do with your friends. Unfortunately, you can’t play the campaign with people outside your friend list. Even though some people find this irrelevant, for others, it is definitely a huge drawback which ultimately results in them not getting the game.

How to play co-op in Halo 5: Guardians

The first important thing to know is that you will need an Xbox Live Gold membership in order to play the co-op campaign with your friends. This is kind of sad because the rumors were that you won’t need a gold membership. However, it is what it is.

Here are all the steps to do in order to start having fun with your friends:

  • Once you are into the game, select Campaign and choose co-op.

  • Invite your friends and start playing.

You should know that you can invite as many as three of your friends. If there are less than four players, the slots will be filled up with AI bots. While this might seem ok, it’s definitely not advisable, especially if you want to go as further as possible in the game. That is why you should try to fill in the slots at all costs.

Apart from that, the rest is just like the single player campaign, meaning that you keep what you find.

Sadly, you can not play with random players because Halo 5: Guardians does not have matchmaking. But other than that, playing with your friends is still pretty fun.

Conclusion

Finally, if you wish to play against other people online, you might wait a bit for Halo: Infinite. The game is scheduled to release in mid-2020, which is not that far away. Having said that, the developers claim that it will resolve all present issues with the current Halo game. And since they are not that many, the newest Halo title will most likely be worth the waiting.

However, if you just want to have some fun with your friends without waiting, this is it. Hop on and start winning.
