Fallout 4 is an amazing game full of cool things to do. Apart from completing missions and progress through the game, there are also many collectible items that you can get. Every item is unique on its own but there is one which happens to be very rare - the Freefall Armor legs. Apart from that, they are also the best armor pieces you can lay your hands on. Though, as you can probably imagine, getting them is definitely not a walk in the park.
The Freefall Armor consists of two parts - left and right leg pieces. When equipped together, they prevent any damage which you can take while falling down. You are probably are interested in getting this amazing armor, right? If so, you need to complete a couple of tasks. Let's take a look at what is the easiest and fastest way in which you can do it.
Power Armor - Get it ready
The first and also one of the most important things that you need to do is to prepare your Power Armor. You will need it in order to reach the exact location where you can find the Free Fall armor. It is located on the top floor of the Mass Fusion Building and as you know, getting there is hard, to say the least.
In fact, there is no direct way to get there so unless you have your Power Armor equipped with a fast jetpack, it will be impossible to get. The Jetpack buff can be crafted in the Power Armor workshop but it is not easy. You have to be at least Rank 4 in the Armor and Science perk in order to enable it. If you happen to have any Ultra Jet, Nuka Cola Quantum or anything like this, bringing it will be a good idea.
Ok, I got the Power Armor, now what?
When you do all the things mentioned above, put your Power Armor on and go to the Mass Fusion Building which is located on the north side of Goodneighbour. Once you go there, enter the building and go to the elevator which will take you to the fifth floor. If you wish to use this elevator, you must have completed a lot of quests from the main story of the game. In case you go there and you are unable to use it, the only option that you have left is to take the stairs.
Of course, this will be a lot longer and complex at the same time because you need to take a couple of extra steps. Once you get to the second floor, open the door there and it will take you to the hallway. Keep going further until you reach another room with a hole in the glass ceiling. You will be able to go through it and eventually end up in another small room. There will be another door for you to open but as you can imagine, this is no ordinary door so you will need to be an expert in Lockpiking in order to do the job.
I made it! Let's go!
Once you go there (regardless of which method you choose), go forward until you see a big open area in the center of the building. There will be several broken pieces from what seems to be a jumping platform. You need to start jumping on each platform there until you reach the top level. Keep it in mind that the jetpack height is limited, so it will consume Action Points for each jump.
Eventually, you will reach the highest platform possible. From there, look for another hole in the floor above you but keep it in mind that it is not as big as you imagine, so it might take some time for you to find it. Remember to save the game before you go any further. The last thing you want is to waste all the progression you did so far.
Once done, your aim should be to reach the nearest room across the balcony of the one you are currently in. Needless to say, the only way in which you can do this is by hopping. This means that you need to prepare beforehand and take Nuke Cola Quantum in order to slow the down-time and increase your AP. It is possible to do this without having to consume the Nuke Cola but it's definitely better this way.
When you decide that it is go-time, hop onto the balcony and jump to the corner of the wall. Your aim here is to reach a small room filled with many things but one of them is your priority - the Fusion Core. When you land there and take it, be sure to save again so you won't lose on any progression.
From there, you have to go to the opposite corner by doing the same thing mentioned above. Eventually, you will end up where you need to be which means that it's time to look for a locked safe. If you haven't guessed yet, the Freefall Armor will be inside it. This means that the only thing left for you to do is go and grab the armor, alongside everything you see.
It is definitely not easy but the end reward makes everything well worth it.
