Japanese gaming peripheral company HORI has released the Nintendo Switch version of their Fighting Commander fight pad. Designed specifically for fighting games, HORI’s line of fight pad comes at a time when the console has steadily built an ever-growing library of titles from the genre. The Switch has become the perfect way to enjoy both modern and retro fighting games in one place, and the new controller should help boost the experience even more.
Known for their high-quality and attractive prices, the new 6-button controller looks like it ticks all the right boxes right off the bat. Priced $39.99, HORI touts the Nintendo Switch Fighting Commander as “similar but different” from its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controllers, which were well received.

The new fight pad is a wired controller that also features assignable shoulder buttons, a toggle switch for the D-pad, turbo functions, with both ‘R’ and ‘ZR’ buttons located on the front for easy access. As we’d expect, the new controller is licensed by Nintendo, continuing their long-term partnership.
HORI’s SWITCH Fighting Commander Wired Controller is available right now on Walmart, and up for grabs right here.
