Hideo Kojima shared new details about Death Stranding ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

From the very first Metal Gear titles in the late 80-s, Hideo Kojima tried to make games more than just entertainment, but also a learning and growing experience. His games try to teach a lot about good and evil in general, as well as about real-life issues such as children fighting in wars; harm from excessive governmental control and the effect of the nuclear deterrence strategy and so on.

Not surprising, that Kojima keeps trying to affect the players in his first post-Konami title Death Stranding. He appeared on the stage of Tribeca Film Festival 2019 in New York City with Norman Reedus and moderator Geoff Keighley to share some insights about the new game. He floated the idea of connection between the player and the world.

Details about Death Stranding revealed during the Tribeca  talk;

  • The game has anti-war and anti-nuclear sentiment.
  • Some aspects of FOB missions from MGS V will show up in the game.
  • There is a feature letting the player manipulate the camera.
  • A lot of violence but it goes much deeper than just straight up killing.
  • The protagonist will have "many toys."
  • The game is very emotional.

During E3 2018, Hideo Kojima shared a trailer with Death Stranding game footage.

Release date of Death Stranding hasn’t been revealed yet.
