Heroic replaces forZe at IEM Chicago 2019 ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

In a bit of unfortunate news, the Russian team forZe has lost its shot at IEM Chicago 2019 with its $250,000 prize pool due to visa issues. Unable to secure visas before the July 10 deadline set by ESL, they've been forced to drop out of the competition.

The organisation supposedly submitted its visa application right after its win against Heroic in the GG.BET Chicago Invitational. Realising they wouldn't meet the deadline, forZe requested two extra days to resolve the issue but were denied.

Replacing them now will be Heroic, the team forZe defeated in the European qualifier to get their spot in the first place. The Danish team takes the last available slot to compete in IEM Chicago, holding from July 18-21.
